Unusual case of intestinal obstruction

Internal hernia is a rare cause of small bowel loop obstruction. Hernia through a defect of the broad ligament is extremely rare. We report a case of small bowel obstruction resulting from the herniation of small bowel through a unilateral defect in the broad ligament in a woman who had no prior abdominal surgery, uterine surgery, delivery trauma, and pelvic pathology.
