This paper analyzes an online graduate course for teachers of English. The study is geared towards the theory of complexity. It focuses more on the relationships between various elements and the inter-agents in this process, and less on the results. In as far as the pedagogical design of this contextualized course, one of the challenges that were identified in the studies involved seeking a better understanding of the factors that facilitated the creation of an environment that was conducive to the learning of the course components.
