The purpose of publishing - to substantiate and discover the peculiarities of design activity of the future teachers of geography and life safety as one of the current and future directions of higher education. We consider the theoretical and methodological aspects of the project work of the teacher as a special pedagogical phenomenon is widespread in the modern socio-cultural conditions. It was determined that the greatest potential for the development of the project activity of the future teachers of geography and life safety has integrated clinical practice, which is a special form of organization of the competence-oriented educational process in higher teacher education.
