Fatigue is a dominant symptom for approximately 70% of people with primary Sjögren’s syndrome (PSS) and a symptom which patients report as needing improvement. It has a negative impact on quality of life and affects patients’ ability to participate in valued life activities. For many patients, there are assignable causes for their fatigue, including co-morbidities and side effects of medication. We have identified the main predictors of fatigue in the UKPSSR cohort and tested for differences between those with assignable causes of fatigue (co-morbidities and medications associated with drowsiness) and those who have no assignable causes for their fatigue.
