Düşük tenörlü de olsa bu cevherlerden hidrometalurjik proseslerle ekonomik şekilde nikel ekstraksiyonu mümkündür. Bu anlamda Manisa Çaldağ’dan alınan limonitik formda lateritik nikel cevherlerine atmosferik basınç sülfürik asit liçi ve asitle muamele-kavurma-liç şeklinde 2 ayrı hidrometalurjik proses uygulanmıştır.
