It is widely accepted that using reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) could improve the sustainability of asphalt concrete (AC), in terms of cost savings and environmental factors. This should be only valid when short- and long-term pavement performance are not compromised.
