Our project is an investigation into the present state of diversity content in LIS curricula. This investigation is a reflection of our interest in engaging with the field and how we and future graduates of MLIS programs have been shaped by both our educations and the world around us. We wish to engage in this conversation because LIS professionals are embedded in their communities at a level that requires a working knowledge of how to work comfortably and competently with diverse populations.
