Facultad de Bioquímica y Ciencias Biológicas; Argentina.Las abejas nativas del género Augochlora fueron estudiadas desde el punto de vista sistemático y biológico a través de observación de nidos en condiciones naturales y nidos artificiales en laboratorio. Se encontraron cinco especies en el área central de Argentina y Uruguay: A. iphigenia, A. amphitrite , A. nausicaa , A. phoemonoe y A. daphnis para las que se presentan re-descripciones, datos de distribución y clave taxonómica.
