En esta tesis se evalúan diferentes catalizadores para la reacción de alquilación de isobutano con olefinas. Se estudian zeolitas microporosas, Y, X, Beta y Mordenita. Estos materiales presentan diferentes relaciones Si/Al y la regulación de acidez se realiza mediante intercambio iónico con La+3 y/o NH4+. Se presenta también el diseño de catalizadores mesoporosos, estudiándose sílices SBA-15 funcionalizadas con grupos sulfónicos. Los materiales microporosos con niveles de acidez moderados son los que presentaron mejor actividad y estabilidad en reacción.
