The conversation about suicide is at an all-time high with adolescents due to mainstream media taking ahold of the topic (e.g. 13 reasons why (2017) and Logan Paul). Due to this, suicide prevention programs need to be implemented in the public school system, to help school staff to feel comfortable talking to students about youth suicide (Shannonhouse, Lin, Shaw & Porter, 2017). This project will show the need for suicide prevention programs, and introduce a two-day workshop for all school staff to be educated on how to have the conversation about suicide, understand where to get help and learn coping techniques to use with students or themselves
