Fluorescence diffuse optical tomography (fDOT) is a noninvasive imaging technique that makes it possible to quantify the spatial distribution of fluorescent tracers in small animals. fDOT image reconstruction is commonly performed by means of iterative methods such as the algebraic reconstruction technique (ART).
