This article evaluates the exposure of workers to the magnetic field produced by several resistance spot welding (RSW) guns, taking into account both ac and medium-frequency dc (MF dc) technologies. First, magnetic field measurements were performed in the laboratory. The results made it possible to define a safety area where exposure limits were not exceeded. Dosimetric assessments were also performed in line with the current regulatory framework. The analysis showed that the exposure limit values were not exceeded, even when the operator was outside the previously defined safety area
