This project addresses the characterization of an interferometer used for satellite orbit determination. It is included in the context of the assemblage of a Geostationary Synthetic Aperture Radar (GeoSAR) for Earth and atmosphere imagine techniques. For that, brief explanations of the GeoSAR project and the interferometry method are provided. As a first part, the relation between orbital error and the maximum area of a scene in a very simplified two dimensional case is found. Results show that if orbital errors are considered in the x-direction, the most affected dimension of the scene is also the x-direction. For orbital errors of 500 m in the x-direction a maximum focusing scene of x side of around 100 m is given while for orbital errors...
