From entertainment to international affairs: world peace on the pages of the magazine O Cruzeiro

This article intends to contribute to the history of the Brazilian written press. Specifically, we intend to analyze the news World peacekeeping published by the magazine entitled O Cruzeiro between the years of 1945 and 1953. We will search international news production process and the pages used for its publication. We will also research, texts by Luciano Carneiro, writings by Drew Pearson and Austregésilo Athayde. In this paper, we will demonstrate: a) The anticommunism of the magazine; b) Possibilities for researching international news in Brazilian journals; c) The importance of researching the political and ideological position of entertainment magazines
