Rice crop in Spain is prone to herbicide resistance ocurrence, and the risk increases if ALS inhibitors are used without implementing antiresistance strategies. The goal of this research was to confirm the resistance to penoxsulam in Spanish populations of Cyperus difformis. Four populations were used: "Filipinas-S", "Sevilla-S", "Extremadura-R" and "Sevilla-R". In a first trial, “S” and “R”populations showed a different response to penoxsulam.
