Ampelographic Characterization of Turkish Indigenous Grape Accessions and European Cultivars (Vitis Vinifera L.)

A total of 35 grape accessions and 3 reference cultivars were used to investigate the genetic polymorphism and relationships among Turkey and other European grape accessions by ampelographic characterization. Total of 74 ampelographic characteristics were identified for 38 genotypes. Ampelographic data were collected two vegetation periods. The characteristics of the vines were defined and measured according to OIV descriptors. In this study, three synonym varieties (100% similarity) were identified: \u27Cabernet Sauvignon\u27 and \u27Cabernet Franch\u27; standard grape variety \u27Merlot\u27 and no.12 genotype (Merlot), and \u27Sèmillion\u27 analyzed as a standard grape variety and no. 1 \u27Sèmillion\u27 genotype. Based on similarity rate of grape varieties, highest similarity ratios were found between \u27Yuvarlak Razakı-Siyah Gemre\u27 with 93%, \u27Yuvarlak Razakı-Siyah Gemre\u27 and \u27Şika\u27 with 91%, \u27Moiseylative-Hafızali\u27 with 90% and \u27Kırmızı Şam-Pembe Gemre\u27 genotypes with 89%. In principal component analyses graph, \u27Müşküle\u27, \u27Buca Razakı\u27, \u27Moiseylative\u27, \u27Kırmızı Şam\u27, \u27Cardinal\u27, \u27Yuvarlak Razakı\u27, \u27Hafızali\u27, \u27Siyah Gemre\u27 and \u27Şika\u27 were grouped together
