Theability to localize energy on the nanometer scale (bypassingthe 100-nm milestone) makes them ideal tools foradvanced laser nanoscale processing on surfaces and inthe bulk. This allows to generate and combine micronand nano-sized features into hybrid structures that shownovel functionalities.
