This essay will analyse how racism is represented in hip-hop lyrics from the first 7 years of the 2010th decade. The lyrics will be divided into four various categories to show how the artist is using history to connect with the listener. When analysing the lyrics, a content analysis will be used were the lyrics are broken down into smaller parts. These smaller parts will be broken down and the valuable information is extracted. When doing this analysis, it is important to not break the lyrics into too small parts, if done the context can be lost
