The purpose of this study is to develop and characterize Ti-B-N deposits developed by magnetron sputtering for the purpose of industrial application such as the coating of cutting tools.The Ti-B-N ternary composition diagram is explored by reactive copulverization of a Ti and TiB2 target. The field of chemical composition centered on 55% at. Ti, 15% at. B and 30% at. N has the optimal mechanical properties.
