Social disparities in academic success too often cover up major interindividual differences in the academic achievement of children from the same social class. In particular, there are many children from the working class who do well or very well in school. This thesis studies the contibution of the home environment to scholastic performance differences among working-class children, and also looks into how the dimensions of this " family education " are interconnected, rather than considering them separately as in the past.
