The present utilization of coal, mineral oil and natural gas is causing an overall increase of the carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere. lt has been proposed to burn fossil fuel compounds wich pure oxygen and to liquefy the carbon dioxide, which is the main component in the product stream. The liquid can be used as asolvent for the other combustion products. This report describes the solubilities and vapor-liquid equilibria of typical combustion products in liquid CO$_{2}$. The experiments are male in an equilibrium apparatus, which can measure the solubility of solid, liquid and gaseous components in CO$_{2}$ at temperatures between -40 and +15 °C and pressures up to 70 bar.
