In this paper we present an approach to modeling the subject matter to be taught by a large scale Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). This approach, called CREAM (Curriculum Representation and Acquisition Model ) allows to organize the content information according to models concerning respectively the domain, the pedagogy and the didactic aspects. The domain is supported by the capability model (CREAM-C) which represents and organizes domain knowledge. The pedagogical view allows to define and organize instructional objectives in modeling the skills required for their completion and in evaluating the impact of this completion on the domain knowledge (CREAM -O and CKTN).
