Controversies concerning the transformations of Paris raise up a consideration about urban design, urban form, which is not only the building's sight or addition of juxtaposition. Here are concerned the usual experiences of the inhabitants, the comprehension of the organisation, the reference-marks which permit the adaptation, the integration to the town and its society. The study on hand of the parisian public places - following the ones concerning the residential districts and the administrative divisions - brings a few answers to very complicated questions.Les controverses au sujet des transformations de Paris suscitent une réflexion sur la forme urbaine, celle-ci n'est pas que l'aspect ou la somme des juxtapositions d'édifices. Sont concernés les pratiques habituelles des habitants, la compréhension de l'organisation, les repérages par quoi se fait l'adaptation, l'intégration à la ville et à sa société. L'étude, en cours, des places publiques parisiennes après celle des "quartiers résidentiels" et des découpages administratifs - la sectorisation - apporte quelques réponses à des questions fort complexes.Bertrand Michel-Jean.
