This work is focussed on two important problems for the industry. The first one is the strain localization and thermo-mechanical coupling. The second one concerns perforation of the thin mettalic sheets, by a direct impact. The effect of adiabatic heating on the FLD (Forming limit diagram) has been analysed for mild steels. The modelling is based on the Marciniak-Kuczynski approach, where the deformation theory with the isotropic hardening was used. It was shown that the most intense increase of temperature and deformation occurs inside the instability band than in the zone of the uniform deformation.
