My bachelor’s thesis discusses the design and realization of the contactless revolution counter. Design of the revolution counter has been based on the background research which discusses particular sensors and methods of contactless revolution counting. The measuring itself is provided by a PCI card Acquitek and a numerical computing environment and programming language Matlab. This programming language has been used to develop a simple graphic user interface. The revolution counter has been calibrated by photoelectric contactless measuring instrument CB-2234B
