Identification of the bearer: Member of the Sommaripa familyHistorical Notice: Noble family with French and Italian origins (Sommerive, Sommariva, Sommaripa), established in the Duchy of Archipelago in the 14th century, who ruled the islands of Paros, Antiparos and Andros, while possessing feuds in Naxos as well. During the 19th c., two of them served as consuls of Holland in Naxos.
