Identification of the bearer: Member of the Barozzi familyHistorical Notice: Venetian patrician house, including a partiarch of Venice (15th c.) and two dukes of Crete (13th, 14th and 15th c.). A branch of the same family was established in Crete (13th c.) and later ruled for a while the islands of Santorini and Therasia, while possessing feuds in Naxos as well.
