Identification of the bearer: Officials of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem (see historical notice)Historical Notice: Heraldic ensemble bearing the coats-of arms of the Grand Master of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, Pierre d' Aubusson (left, 1476-1503) and of the knight Codardo de Carmadino, preceptor (commander) of the island of Kos, surrounding the cross, crest of the Order (see each coat-of-arms in particular).
