The aim of this study was to investigate eighth grade students’ skills in different types of problem posing. In addition, the students’ problem posing skills were examined according to their problem solving attitude, gender and success variables. Survey method was used in the research. The study group consisted of 166 eighth grade students that were chosen by random sampling method. As data collective tools, a problem posing test and a problem solving attitude scale were used. In the analysis of the data, t-test, one way variance analysis and regression analysis were conducted.
