Tomography is a process of imaging parameters in industrial applications. It can be based on different sensing methods; ultrasound and electrical impedance sensing methods are both sensitive to the particular characteristics of a material. These imaging methods have been shown to be practical instruments for process monitoring in the process industry. However the achieved image can be low in quality and restricted in resolution due to ill-posedness of the inverse problems and limited data.
