ABSTRACT The research is research and development which aims to: (1) to produce physics learning devices based on guided inquiry which is valid, practical, and effective,(2) to describe whether physics learning devices based on guided inquiry which had been developed could improve the student’ interests, (3) to discover the improvement of the student’ learning results after applying guided inquiry learning devices which had been developed. The development of learning devices employed Thiagarajan model (Four-D) which consisted of, four stages, namely: (1) defining, (2) design, (3) development and (4) dessimination.
