L’idée picturale dans la poésie futuriste russe

Note:The course of Russian poetry in the early years of this century was changed by the Cubist movement in particular and modern painting in general. Painters and poets drew closer andRussian Futurism was born. This dissertation concerns itself with both the spirit and the fruits born of this collaboration between painter and poet. The manner in which four painters, V. Kandinskij, D., Burljuk, K. Malevic, and L. Zak, were to become involved in the poetic experience is examined. Studied as well is the process by which pictorial thought was assimilated by the poetic fabric of the period. The application of pictorial devices to examine the poetry of five poets, B. Livsic, V. Kamenskij, V. Majakovskij, V. Xlebnikov, and A. Krucenyx, illustrates this assimilation. It becomes clear that this new approach, i.e., a pictorial approach, is thus warranted in the study of these texts. From Cubism, a non-objective poetic language emerges which, in turn, leads back to non-objective painting. A process of exchange is thus present. This movement, though suppressed in Russia, demonstrated enough vitality, however, to influence the evolution of artistic thought in the twentieth century.Cubisme et peinture contemporaine ont changé le cours de la poésie russe du début du siècle. Peintres et poètes se rapprochent et nous assistons à la naissance du futurisme russe. La présente thèse étudie l'esprit et le fruit de cette collaboration. Plus en détails, nous voyons comment quatre peintres, V. Kandinskij, D. Burljuk, K. Malevic, et L. Zak, se sont impliqués dans une démarche poétique. Nous voyons également comment la pensée picturale s'infiltre dans les tissus poétiques de l'époque: cinq poètes, B. Livsic, v. Kamenskij, V. Majakovskij, V. Xlebnikov, et A. Krucenyx, en font la démonstration et la preuve en appliquant des méthodes picturales à leur poésie. Une nouvelle approche s'impose donc à l'étude de ces textes, une approche picturale. Du cubisme nous débouchons sur une langue poétique non objective et de la, nous revenons à la peinture non objective. Il y a échange. Ce mouvement, étouffé en Russie, a quand même une vitalité qui lui permet d'influencer à son tour toute l'évolution de la pensée artistique du vingtième siècle
