International audienceBringing cognitive and social approaches under the same focus is becoming a desirable goal should one want to gain a better understanding of the process of language acquisition (Hulstijn et al., 2014, Chevrot & Nardy, to appear). Three ways for combining the social and the cognitive can be envisaged: the social approach to cognition, the cognitive approach to the social, the collective cognition approach (Kaufmann & Clément, 2011).
