Few studies have examined excess postexercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) following resistance exercise. This study was designed to (a) assess the magnitude and duration of EPOC following resistance exercise typical of recreational exercisers and (b) compare the magnitude and duration of EPOC following two resistance exercise protocols.
