In this era of globalization, language contact cannot be avoided, especially with English which is considered as international lingua franca. The subject in this research was people talking in a video taken from VOA (Voice of America) Pop News with the title “Kopi Indonesia dan Warga Muslim Indonesia di AS (1)”. Meanwhile, the object of this study was the loanwords taken from the video. The purpose of this research was to find out the English loanwords whose sounds were modified from their original pronunciation.
