International audienceThe Passio Sebastiani, recently attributed to Arnobius the Younger (BHL 7543, fifth century), is one of the most wide-spread hagiographical texts in the Middle Ages, as witnessed by the 498 preserved manuscripts (to which one can add 45 that are lost). This list is followed by a brief synthesis on the earliest transmission of the Passion, a preamble to a critical edition.
