Taking the observation of Widlocher and Hardy-Bayle (1990) (that is to say the lack of research on psychoanalytic communication) as my starting point, I will tackle this issue by using pieces of information taken from pragmatic linguistics and the analysis of conversations. Theoretical part: first, I will specify on the one hand, the psychotherapeutic situation as opposed to other types of institutionalized conversations and, on the other hand, the psychoanalytic setting as opposed to the other forms of therapies.
