In an attempt to resolve the inconsistencies found among earlier measurements, we remeasured the half-life of Mn50, paying particular attention to possible count rate and contaminant effects, and obtained 283.10(14) ms. Although most previous accounts seem to lack adequate detail, we are nevertheless constrained to retain their values in an overall recommended half-life of 283.21(11) ms
