View of imposing building located on the corner of two streets, one of which descends steeply. Several men and boys stand near the main entrance. The boy leaning against the telegraph pole is probably selling newspapers. The building has been designed in a Classical Revival style and includes features such as fluted pilasters, Ionic and Corinthian capitals, arched niches and balustrades. A number of businesses proclaim their occupation by signs on walls or windows. Some are: the West Australian Wine Company; Danby and Butler & Co., Accountants, Auditors, Insurance Brokers; and Forrest, Emanuel & Co
