Multidisciplinary research associating chemical analyses, petrographical observations and typological studies were conducted on the ceramic production from Boutae, (Annecy) with the objective of characterising it and to measure the importance of this craft which benefited from favourable environmental (clays, water) and logistical conditions. The studies concerned the production from two workshops at the end of the second century A. D./ beginning of the third century A.
