The geomorphological effect of the 1989-90 storms on the coast of Cap Blanc-Nez (North of France) . During the winter 1989-90, North-West Europe was subject to storms which were exceptional by their amplitude and number. The geomorphological study of the area between Sangatte and Wissant started in September 1989 and the coastal change was surveyed until March 1990. The effect was different on cliffs (at the northwest end of Artois) and sandy coasts (Sangatte and Baie de Wissant).
