The Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park, first center of hig-tech industry of Taïwan. Industrial development in Taïwan has experienced significant growth over the past four decades. In 1 980, a science-based industrial park was established in Hsinchu by the government to foster the development of high-tech industries. Favored with a strategic location and set within a number of research facilities, the HSIP achieve an integration, unique in Taïwan, of enterprise, community and parkland. By the end of 1989, a total of 107 high-tech enterprises has set up operations and the major industry is computers and peripherals.Taïwan a connu au cours des quatre dernières décennies une croissance industrielle exceptionnelle. En 1980, un parc industriel a vocation scientifique a été établi à Hsinchu par le gouvernement pour promouvoir le développement des industries à haute technologie. Bénéficiant d'une situation privilégiée et implanté au voisinage de nombreuses institutions de recherche, le Parc a réussi, fait unique à Taïwan, l'intégration d'une zone d'activité, d'un milieu de vie et d'espaces verts.
