The number of children with developmental difficulties (DD) in Quebec’s daycare services has increased considerably over the years. However, the reality of their social participation has yet to be documented. The aim of this study is thus to describe the participation of young children with DD and to discuss parents’satisfaction with respect to the opportunities offered to their child to participate in activities. The results reveal that 70 % of children frequent the same daycare settings as all children. Nonetheless, outside the educational structure, participation in activities with peers drops : 56.5 % for unstructured activities ; 31.1 % for swimming, music or art lessons ; and 17.4 % for team sports activities.
