The knowledge related to socially acute questions such as the history of slavery refer to a school discipline as well as to a reflection on human rights through moral judgement and criticism. As such, how are the interactions between teachers and learners, but also between learners themselves established around these questions ? The aim of the study is to observe through reflexive oral activities the role of language in the building of sensitive historical concepts and of ethical competence.
