The surficial and deep domains of the great geochemical cycle differ in many features. The evolution of micas within these two environments involves cristallochemical processes, the symmetry of which is here pointed out. The degradation of micas into montmorillonite consumes silicium, moves aluminium from the tetrahedra, towards the octahedra, lowers the charge of the layers, removes magnesium and alkalis in interstitial solutions. The aggradation of micas from montmorillonites and illites releases silicum, moves aluminium from the octahedra towards the tetrahedra j increases the charge of the layers, introduces magnesium in the octahedra and alkalis in the interlay er spacings.Les parties superficielles et profondes du grand cycle géochi...
