The de Moucheny family. Study of the family relationship between six apothecaries who were members of the community of apothecaries-grocers in Paris (16th-17th centuries) – The aim of this research was to determine whether there was any family connection between six apothecaries called de Moucheny – three of whom shared the fore-name Mathurin – who practised their profession in Paris for about one hundred years, from the 1560s to the 1660s. They were all members of the same family. The oldest Mathurin had two sons, Jehan and Mathurin, who were apothecaries. The third Mathurin and Jacques were sons of Jehan.
