The World-wide activities of the Coca-Cola Co. «Coca-Cola», created in Atlanta (Georgia), in 1886, is today the leader in the World Soft-Drink Market. The development of the Company first took place in the United States, and on the outbreak of World War II, «Coca-Cola» was bottled in more than one thousand Plants located throughout North America. «Coca-Cola» started to be world-wide known before 1939, but its important rise occurred after World War II. Nowadays, 868 Bottling Plants are operating outside of the United States.
