The aim of this paper is to present the results of the recent re-examination of the Asine IQ tumulus (East Cemetery), excavated by S. Dietz in the 1970s. The following analyses have been carried out: – a radiocarbon analysis of human bones which leads us to reconsider the accepted dating of the tumulus and the surrounding graves; – the osteological analysis and stable isotopes analysis which give information on the age and sex of the deceased, but also on pathologies and diet; – the analysis of the mortuary practices attested in the tumulus, which includes a comparison with the burials located among houses in other parts of the site (the Lower Town on the Kastraki promontory and Barbouna on the opposite hill).
