An ectrodactylous Leptodactylus (Amphibia, Anura) A male and a female Leptodactylus pentadactylus labyrinthicus (Spix) from Brasil, held in captivity since 1967, paired and spawned three times between June and September 1973. Out of 121 young Leptodactylus from the first spawning, one specimen was found to exhibit a symetric bilateral ectrodactyly in the hind limbs (4 toes for each foot).
