The study of the marble sculpture discovered in Cyprus has been much neglected in comparison with that of works in limestone and terracotta. Only that from the sanctuaries of Soloi-Cholades and the group of the Roman period found in the gymnasium and theatre at Salamis have been published in detail. This check-list represents the main collection of material for the Greek and Roman periods attested in the large cities of the island, arranged by archaeological context (sanctuaries, public buildings, residential areas). It is noteworthy that the site of Kourion has yielded an especially interesting assemblage, as with the “ Villa of Theseus” at Paphos.
